Our Squadron was formed in 1993 when it received its
charter from the national organization. Since that time, we have provided
courses for many hundreds of boaters, from the basic Boating Course and Pleasure
Craft Operator Card certification, to advanced electronic and navigation
courses.
CPS Squadrons are volunteer organizations - all instruction and management,
including the design and development of course material, is handled by unpaid
volunteers who take pleasure in passing on their extensive knowledge and
experience.
Our executive committee, or "Bridge" is made up of a few people who manage the
day-to-day operation, under the direction of our Commander. Instructors, who
handle the classroom duties, work with the Squadron Training Officers to provide
quality instruction in a variety of courses.
We are presently in a rebuilding mode and are actively seeking help in all areas
of our operation from boaters in the area. If you would like to help in the
mission of "Safe Boating through Education", then please contact us.
Remember - leaving the dock is easy. It's getting back that counts! We can help. |
